Las Vegas (April 2, 2008) - Sielox announced today that it will partner with AvaLAN Wireless Systems, Inc. to integrate wireless Ethernet capability into its industry-leading access control solutions. By offering wireless connectivity between devices, Sielox will be able to substantially reduce installation costs of its access and security systems. Incorporating the hardware and equipment supplied by AvaLAN ensures that the system functions at or above the performance level of a traditional hard-wired implementation.
AvaLAN will be providing the following wireless systems for use in Sielox solutions: AW900T, an industrial grade 900 MHz non-line-of-sight wireless Ethernet system and the AW5800T, an industrial grade 5.8 GHZ line-of-sight wireless Ethernet system. Both systems are available in indoor, outdoor, and OEM Module versions. With their ultra-long range and advanced non-line-of-sight capabilities, these products are ideal replacements for modest-data-rate wireless installations that under-perform or fail completely due to insufficient range or excessive interference.
By providing a wireless access control solution, Sielox can reduce costs for its installers and end-clients as it avoids the labor and material expenses required of a hard-wire install. AvaLAN’s hardware requires minimum configuration as compared to traditional wireless devices; no training or extensive knowledge of network configuration is needed.
